This is a very easy way to create names

Tack or lightly glue these motifs in the required position, to stop them moving, prior to application.

Then, place a moist cloth over the top., this will stop any burning, in case your over eager with the iron!

Next place a warm (setting 2/3 - Cotton 180 Degrees) iron and press-on for about 12 seconds.

One can also press from the reverse side, using the same principal.
